Hi Reader, If you’ve been feeling like you’re behind lately… Like multiple areas of your life are asking for your attention at the same time, ...this is for you. Let's talk about it. But first... AffirmationSay it with me: I am not behind in my life. I am in the middle of it. Because feeling behind doesn't always actually mean you are. Story TimeI recently had one of those moments. Where everything felt like it was piling up at once. Content I wanted to share. And even though things were moving, There was still this quiet thought sitting underneath it all: “I’m behind.” It's a specific kind of pressure that can creep in quietly. Especially when you're doing your best. And what happens is, your brain starts bundling everything together into one story: “Everything is slipping… and I can’t keep up.” But when I slowed it down…that’s not actually what’s happening. Truth is, I'm doing a lot at the same time. Trying to show up. I'm really in the middle of multiple things. Some things are restarting. And that’s when it clicked for me! The pressure wasn’t coming from what I had to do. It was coming from the belief that I should be further along than I am right now. And that's the key. ReflectionSo here's the question for you if you've been struggling with this too: Further along compared to what? A version of you with:
Let's be honest (and I say this gently)...That version of you and your life doesn’t exist! So, of course, it feels like too much sometimes. Because you’re not just doing one thing. You’re:
All at the same time. That's not behind. That’s being stretched across a lot! And this is why I want you to embrace the term "rhythm." Because consistency says: "Keep everything moving at the same pace." But rhythm says: Something to Try:When you feel that “I’m behind” pressure this week... Pause and separate it out. Ask yourself: And then choose just one small next step. Not everything. Let that be enough for today. Next week, I’ll share what this looks like in practice. AKA how I’m approaching showing up, creating, and building my personal brand in a way that actually supports my life now. See you *next* Tuesday, Tamara Sykes |

Hi Reader, Have you ever walked into a room thinking... "I hope they see that I belong here." Maybe it's a new job.A meeting.A speaking opportunity.A networking event. And without realizing it, you spend more energy trying to prove yourself than simply showing up. Let's talk about it. But first... Affirmation Say it with me: I do not have to prove I belong. I belong because I showed up prepared and as myself. Because the room doesn't need another version of someone else. It needs the version...
Hi Reader, You know what’s interesting about opportunities you really want? They can make you forget yourself a little. Suddenly, you start thinking:How can I sound more impressive?More polished?More professional? And before you know it…you’re no longer leading with your actual strengths. Let's talk about it. But first... Affirmation Say it with me: I do not have to overcomplicate myself or be perfect to be credible. Because simple and clear will always land better than forced and perfect....
Hi Reader, I had the same conversation twice recently. Once in a message…and again with a college grad I spoke to last week. Different people.Different stages of life. But the same underlying question: “What does it actually mean to build a personal brand?” Let's talk about it. But first... Affirmation Say it with me: I don’t have to show up like everyone else to build a personal brand. Because there isn’t one way to show up...and there never was. Story Time In both conversations, I noticed...
