Hi Reader, Have you ever hit a season where your usual rhythm just.. stopped working? SAME. Plus, we’re in that stretch of the year where life starts speeding up — holidays, family plans, etc. So if you’ve been feeling a little off-beat lately, you’re not alone. This edition is about what it really looks like to find your rhythm again when life gets full. AffirmationSay it with me: My rhythm changes as life changes. And that’s not failure; that’s flexibility. Story TimeEvery night last month, my rhythm was set by a tiny human who refused bedtime. TL;DR = Our toddler recently moved to a big girl bed, and let’s just say — sleep hasn’t been smooth. One night she’s up at 11 p.m., another she’s climbing into our bed at 3 a.m. It’s been... a season. And yesterday, we tried a sit-down family dinner. It sounded lovely in theory. But halfway through, we looked at each other — two parents juggling no wifi and a restless toddler — and realized, this format isn’t for us right now. Then, in the evening, it hit me: rhythm isn’t this perfect routine you master once. It’s something you keep adjusting as your life changes. As a family, we’ll do our sit-down dinners later. For now, we’ll lean into what works for this season, aka takeout nights, and one-on-one lunches with our oldest. And the same truth applies to our work and creative lives. ReflectionAs multi-hyphenate women, we expect to “bounce back” quickly after every disruption — the busy week, the family transition, the emotional dip. 👀 The offline demands of the holiday season We think we have to return to our old routine, like nothing changed. But maybe the goal isn’t to bounce back. Maybe it’s to re-sync. Your rhythm will change when your life changes. And that’s not failure. That’s flexibility. So if your energy, focus, or creativity feels different right now...it’s not a sign that you’re losing consistency. It’s a sign that life is asking you to move differently — and that’s okay. Something to Try:I can't predict when you'll experience a change of pace in your life. But we can agree it will happen because, as the old adage goes, "the only constant in life is change." So when that happens, here's a quick check-in to help you find your new flow:
Because doing what actually works for you is easier to sustain — that's real sustainability. And sustainability is the core of consistency... of building the legacy — the empire you were called to create. See you in two Tuesdays, Tamara Sykes |

Hi Reader, Have you noticed that when you finally stop running on fumes… your creativity comes back? The ideas flow. The words feel easier. The work even feels lighter. That’s not luck. That’s overflow. Let's talk about it. Affirmation Say it with me: Overflow begins when I honor my limits instead of ignoring them. Story Time A few months ago, I worked with my client, Janelle, to help her organize her personal and business systems so she could feel more effective and efficient. She’s a mom, a...
Hi Reader, Ever hear a small voice in your head that whispers, “You’re slipping” when you feel like you're not being consistent? Today’s edition is for you. Affirmation Say it with me: Missing a moment doesn't erase my momentum. Story Time If I’m honest, skipping last week’s newsletter made me nervous. But another part of me — the one that’s learning sustainability in real time — said, “No, you’re recalibrating.” It wasn’t planned. It was one of those heavy stretches when work deadlines, home...
Hi Reader, If you've ever felt stuck in the loop of "figuring it out," this one's for you. Affirmation Say it with me: I’m not figuring it out. I'm refining it. Because messy repetition is still progress. Story Time The Gift of Repetition Recently, there's this moment that I keep coming back to. Not a breakthrough. Not a big "aha." Just...a quiet pattern I noticed. I’ve been refining the same message for months. Not rewriting it completely. Just testing it.Tweaking. Repeating. Showing up. And...
