Hi Reader, If you’ve ever wondered how to create a message that includes everything you do without confusing people, this is for you.
AffirmationSay it with me: I don’t have to bury some of my gifts to appear focused. Together, all my talents have a clear message. Because multi-hyphenate doesn’t mean messy. It means layered. Story TimeWhen I Just Couldn't Pick One...When I first started building my personal brand, I thought I had to pick a lane. I kept seeing advice like: “You need to niche down.” “A confused customer doesn’t buy.” “Too many offerings? Too overwhelming.” It was everywhere! But when I tried to implement it, it didn't work for me. For example, I tried to stick to one hair color because I thought that would solidify my brand. But then I got bored and felt like I was fighting with myself by the time I had my next hair appointment. The truth was, one hair color and one hairstyle didn't define me or my brand. Just like one talent or skill didn't define what I could do. Because I wasn’t confused. Once I embraced that, my breakthrough came. I stopped trying to fit myself into a tight tagline and started asking: For me? It was this: That one line made space for my PR background, my content strategy skills, my SEO work, my storytelling, my offers, my voice, and my lived experiences. It didn't make me shrink or make me feel like who I am was starting to disappear and morph into a product. Everything could live inside that message! So, if you've been trying to make it (all of you) fit neatly into a box? Here's your reminder: You don't need to bury anything. You just need a message that holds it all. Personal Brand ReflectionYou're Not Doing Too MuchLet's take a moment to reframe who you are. You’re not all over the place. Acknowledge this 👇🏾
